Varalakshmi is considered to be one of the most important festivals that is celebrated by every Indian married women, celebrated during the Shravana season. In the Hindu calendar, the Shravana month falls between July and August. This is particularly important for not only the South Indians but also the North Indians. While people in North India celebrate festivals with name Tej, people in South India celebrate this holy festival that is known as Varalakshmi Pooja or Vratham.
